Dodgers Dominate Again: A Look into Baseball’s Best in 2025.

Baseball, which combines skill, strategy, and tradition in a way few other sports can match, remains one of America's most famous and beloved sports. Teams compete not only for wins but also for postseason slots and a chance to win the World Series, making every 162-game season an intense period of competition. The Los Angeles Dodgers won the championship in 2025 for the second time in a row after winning in 2024, establishing their place as one of the most powerful and reliable teams in modern baseball.

Some teams, like the Dodgers, are consistently strong and advance far into the playoffs each year. Fans of other struggling teams, like the Chicago White Socks, are hoping the team will try to rebuild over the next couple of years. The best thing about baseball is that the team at the bottom of the rankings for one year could turn around and be the best team in the league the following year. This keeps baseball interesting and its fans hopeful.

Players may also win individual awards for their performance on the field. For the 2025 season, the finalists for the MVP were Aaron Judge (AL) and Shohei Ohtani (NL). Shohei Ohtani was a part of the Los Angeles Dodgers' World Series Championship this year, where he impacted the game on the mound and in the batter's box. On the defensive side of baseball, the Gold Glove is awarded to the most outstanding defensive players that year. There were several finalists for this award, like Bobby Witt Jr, Max Fried, Pete Crow-Armstrong, Ian Happ, Patrick Bailey, Logan Webb, Matt Olsen, and Masyn Winn. There is also an award for the best pitcher in the league at the end of the season. This award goes to the most dominant and consistent pitcher. This year's finalists were Paul Skenes (NL) and Tarik Skubal (AL). Skenes ended the year with a 1.97 ERA, 216 strikeouts, and only 42 walks. Skubal, on the other hand, had a 2.21 ERA, 241 strikeouts, and only 33 walks.
