That’s precisely what motivated us to start this blog—to create a space that welcomes all types of sports enthusiasts. In most blogs a single game is the main topic of sports. That’s fantastic, but we had a different approach with a better idea. Variety is purposefully celebrated on our blog. What is volleyball? Volleyball is a sport that is usually played by two teams each comprising of 6 players that use their hands to hit the ball back and forth over a high net, to try and land the ball on the other side of the court before the opponents can return it. That is why these six positions in the Volleyball Court are very important because each one position contributes to the success of the team. Volleyball is a very competitive sport that requires athletic ability and quick thinking as the game tends to be very fast paced. But what positions can be found in a volleyball team?  First the team of six players consists of the setter, outside hitter, opposite hitter, middle blocker, libero, and defensive specialist. These six players all stand on specific spots on the court at the start of the game but throughout the game, as the team wins back the serve from the opposing side the teams rotate on the court or change their positions. With the Hockey season starting up, it's important to know what teams to have your eye on. Last year, the Florida Panthers came out on top in the Stanley cup against the Edmonton Oilers. However, this was the Panthers first win in franchise history. The Montreal Canadiens have the most Stanley Cup wins under their belt and are currently number one in the Atlantic division. With 10 wins and 3 losses, they manage to stay on top of the Boston Bruins and Ottawa Senators who are second and third in the division. I personally have my eye on the New Jersey Devils this season. They have a hot shot team at the moment. They currently sit in second place in the Metropolitan Division. They are tied with the Carolina Hurricanes at 11 wins and 4 losses. Despite the tie, the Carolina Hurricanes have more points within their games. Jack Hughes is considered the best player for the New Jersey Devils.
